Bangor Private Investigations, Inc. was founded by Troy Richardson after two decades of experience in law enforcement and criminal justice. Today, he brings that same discipline, judgment and commitment to every investigation.
MEET
TROY RICHARDSON
Troy Richardson founded Bangor Private Investigations, Inc. after nearly 20 years working in law enforcement and criminal justice. His background includes studies in both paralegal services and criminal justice, giving him a strong foundation in investigative procedure, legal processes and professional documentation.
Troy spent nearly 18 years as a Corrections Officer at the Hancock County Jail while also serving in overlapping law enforcement roles as a police officer on Mount Desert Island and as a Deputy Sheriff with Hancock County.
After two decades in the field, Troy decided to apply his experience, resources and investigative skills to building his own firm. Bangor Private Investigations opened in November 2017 and has since worked with a wide range of private individuals, attorneys and businesses throughout Maine, handling more than 200 cases.
Troy approaches every investigation with an emphasis on ethics, honesty, discretion and clear communication. Clients are kept informed throughout the investigative process and can expect straightforward guidance, professional documentation and an approach tailored to the circumstances of each case.
Since January 2020, Troy has also been a member of the Maine Licensed Private Investigators Association.
